Zapis is a private journal and mood tracking application designed to help you capture thoughts, reflect on your emotions, and better understand your personal patterns. Protecting your privacy is extremely important to us.
This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected, how it is used, and how your information is protected when using Zapis.
Your journal entries, moods, tags, favorites, photos, locations, and related metadata are stored locally on your device.
If cloud synchronization is available on your platform and you choose to enable it, your journal data may be synchronized using the cloud services provided by your platform (for example Apple CloudKit on supported Apple devices). Zapis does not operate or manage these cloud services.
We do not store your journal content on our own servers.
Photos attached to journal entries are stored on your device. Photo files are not uploaded to our servers.
If cloud synchronization is available, photo synchronization may differ from journal data synchronization depending on platform capabilities.
You may optionally attach a location to a journal entry.
If you choose to do so, the location name and geographic coordinates are stored as part of that journal entry. This information is never shared with advertising providers and is only used within the app.
The optional My Story section allows you to save personal information that helps personalize your experience, reflections, insights, and recaps.
This information remains private and is never shared with advertising services.
Zapis uses Firebase Analytics to better understand how the application is used and to improve the overall user experience.

Zapis does not send the text of your journal entries or other private journal content to Firebase Analytics.
Zapis uses Firebase Crashlytics to collect anonymous crash reports and diagnostic information in order to improve application stability and fix bugs.
Crash reports do not intentionally include the contents of your journal entries.
The free version of Zapis may display advertisements provided by Google AdMob.
AdMob may process device identifiers, advertising identifiers, IP address, approximate location, and usage information as permitted by applicable laws and Google's policies in order to:
Premium subscribers do not see advertisements within the app.
Depending on your country and platform, Zapis may request your consent for personalized advertising or tracking where required by applicable laws or platform requirements.
If you decline consent, the application will continue to function normally, although advertisements may be less personalized.
Subscriptions and in-app purchases are processed securely by the platform's payment provider, including Apple App Store or Google Play.
Zapis does not collect or store your complete payment information.
If you enable reminders, Zapis may schedule local notifications on your device.
Notification preferences can be changed or disabled at any time within the app or through your device settings.
You may choose to export journal entries as PDF documents or create backup files.
These exported files may contain your journal content. Once exported or shared, their security depends on where and how you choose to store or send them.
Zapis may allow you to protect access to the application using biometric authentication (such as Face ID, Touch ID, or fingerprint authentication) or your device passcode.
Authentication is handled entirely by your device's operating system. Zapis never receives, stores, or processes your biometric information.
Widgets may display limited journal-related information such as mood, streaks, reflection prompts, or theme information.
Widget data is stored locally using platform-specific technologies.
