Zapis is a private journal and mood tracking app designed to help you reflect, write, and understand your personal patterns. Your privacy is important to us.
Your journal entries, moods, tags, favorites, photos, locations, and related metadata are stored on your device. If you choose to use iCloud sync as a Premium feature, your journal entries, moods, tags, and metadata may sync through your personal Apple iCloud account.
Photos attached to journal entries are stored locally on the device where you add them. Photo files are not uploaded to our servers. Entry photo references may be stored with your journal data, but the photo image files themselves do not currently sync across devices.
Zapis may allow you to add a location to a journal entry. Location is optional. If you add a location, the location name and coordinates may be stored with that entry and, for Premium users using iCloud sync, may sync through iCloud.
My Story is optional. Information you add there is used to personalize your reflections, insights, and recaps. This information is not shared with other users and is not sent to advertising services.
Zapis may use Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used and to improve the product. Analytics may include product interaction events such as app opens, feature usage, mood logging, subscription events, ad events, and counts such as tag count or photo count.
Zapis does not send your journal text or private entry content to Firebase Analytics.
Free users may see ads provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may process device, advertising, and usage information in order to show ads, measure performance, and prevent fraud.
Premium users do not see ads in Zapis.
On supported versions of iOS, Zapis may ask for permission to track activity across apps and websites for advertising purposes. If you allow tracking, ads may be more personalized. If you deny tracking, the app will continue to work normally and ads may be less personalized.
Subscriptions and purchases are handled by Apple through the App Store. Zapis does not receive or store your full payment information.
Zapis may send local reminders if you enable notifications. These reminders are scheduled on your device and can be changed or disabled in the app or in iOS Settings.
Zapis may allow you to export a PDF or create a backup file. These actions are controlled by you. Exported files may contain journal content and may leave the app if you choose to share, save, or send them.
Zapis may allow you to protect the app using Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode. Authentication is handled by iOS through Apple's LocalAuthentication framework. Zapis does not receive or store your biometric data.
Zapis widgets may display limited journal-related information such as mood, streak, reflection prompts, or theme information. Widget data is stored locally using the app group container.

Zapis is not intended to collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us.
